Wooden Toy Car Garages with Drawers: The Complete Guide

Deep Dive

Wooden Toy Car Garages with Drawers

Some toys just need more than parking spots. Here is every garage we build with real drawer storage — and what makes each one different.

Why drawers change everything

A great garage stores the cars. A great garage with drawers stores everything else — the loose parts, the accessories, the batteries, the tiny traffic cones your child refuses to throw away. Our drawer units are made from the same birch plywood as the garage itself, painted to match, and sized so a child can open them independently. They turn the bottom of the garage from dead space into the most organised corner of the whole playroom.

Garage No. 01

The Castle — Natural & White

Our most iconic shape, in its cleanest colourway

The Castle is the garage that started it all. Its stepped silhouette — wide at the base, taller in the back — gives it the look of a real multi-storey car park while keeping every single parking bay visible and reachable by small hands. The natural birch finish on the shelving unit is paired with white-painted panels and drawer fronts, giving it a Scandinavian nursery feel that sits just as happily in a modern home as it does in a busy playroom.

Three large drawers run across the full width of the base. Each one is deep enough to hold a full set of Hot Wheels accessories, instruction booklets, or the kind of small toys that otherwise migrate behind the sofa. The drawers have smooth-pull cutout handles — no hardware to lose, no sharp edges.

The drawer story

Three drawers, each 28 cm wide and 15 cm deep. The drawer bases are solid plywood — they will not bow under weight. White painted fronts wipe clean with a damp cloth. Children from age 3 can open and close them independently.

The Castle — Wine Red

Bold colour, the same brilliant structure

Everything that makes the Castle great — the stepped layout, the 91 parking bays, the three-drawer base — delivered in a deep wine-red finish that turns the garage into a proper statement piece. The colour is painted on the structural panels, column edges, and drawer fronts, while the shelf interiors stay natural birch so the cars really pop against the warm wood grain.

Wine Red is one of our most requested colours, especially for children who already have a Hot Wheels-themed room or a bold accent wall. The nameplate on top is personalised with your child's name in matching colours.

The drawer story

Same three-drawer configuration as the Natural model. Fronts are painted in the matching wine-red finish, creating a completely unified look. Interiors are natural plywood for easy visibility of contents.

The Castle — Olive Green

The garage for the child who has outgrown primary colours

Olive green sits somewhere between military and botanical — earthy enough to blend with natural wood rooms, distinctive enough to anchor a whole corner of a child's bedroom. This version of the Castle uses the same three-drawer base as the Natural and Wine Red models, but the painted surfaces carry the muted, slightly grey-toned green that has quietly become one of our best-selling finishes.

The stencilled nameplate on top picks up the same tone, with cream-white lettering that feels vintage and handmade rather than printed. A particularly good match for Scandinavian-style interiors and children's rooms with earthy, neutral palettes.

The drawer story

Three full-width drawers with olive-green painted fronts. The drawer interiors are unfinished birch for a tactile, natural feel. The pulls are simple oval cutouts — durable, splinter-free, and easy for little hands.

The Castle — Terracotta / Brown

Warm earthy tones for a cosy, timeless playroom

The terracotta-brown Castle leans into warmth — it reads like the colour of sun-baked clay, natural and grounding. Against the natural birch of the shelves, it creates a palette that would not look out of place in a grown-up living room, which is exactly the point: this garage is just as much room decor as it is a toy.

Parents who buy this version consistently tell us they wanted something that would not clash with the rest of their home. The three-drawer base anchors the structure and keeps the floor area completely clear, which makes the whole room feel tidier even when the garage is fully loaded with cars.

The drawer story

Three drawers painted in terracotta-brown to match the structural panels. The matching colour across the drawer fronts, columns, and nameplate creates a furniture-grade finish — it looks like something from a children's boutique, not a toy shop.
