The honest answer
The extra three slots are not why you would choose the 94.
The number on the label is almost irrelevant. A child who has outgrown the 91-slot does not need exactly three more slots. They need a different kind of object: one with working infrastructure, one that matches the complexity their play has developed. The car wash. The second LED system. The larger bays for the monster trucks and 1:32 cars that have started appearing in the collection.
The 91-slot and the 94-slot are not versions of the same thing. They are garages built for two different stages of the same obsession. Understanding which stage you are buying for is the only question worth answering.

What the car wash does
Why the car wash is the real differentiator.
Parents often assume the car wash is decorative. It is not. Here is what it actually changes about how the garage gets used.

Cars go through the car wash before they go into a slot. This is not a rule any parent sets. It is something the child invents within days of the garage arriving. The car wash turns the garage from a display surface into a system — with an entry process, a routine, a sequence. Children who would not otherwise care about the order of things develop one around the car wash.

When a friend comes to the room, the car wash is what they reach for first. Stage 02
The collection is still growing.
The child has between twenty and sixty cars. Every car is still important. There are no doubles yet, or very few. The child plays with the cars actively — taking them out, racing them, putting them back. The garage is a display surface and an organizer. It does not need infrastructure yet. The 91-slot does everything the collection currently needs, and the scale is right for the age.
Choose the 94-slot if…
Stage 03
The collection has opinions.
The child has favorites. And doubles. And something approaching a position on which cars are worth keeping and which are not. The collection has stratified. They are also old enough to care about the car wash as an experience, not just a feature. The LED dual system, the car wash bay, the larger slot configuration — all of this matches a child who has moved past “more cars” into “a better relationship with the ones I have.”
